Gift card Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions PLEIN PUBLIQUE Giftcard 

Effective date: November 1, 2025

1. General Information

These general terms and conditions apply to the purchase and use of PLEIN PUBLIQUE gift cards issued by Pastro B.V. (“we,” “us,” “our”). By purchasing or using a gift card, you agree to these terms.

The gift cards are issued by Pastro B.V., registered under number 62914235 in the Dutch Trade Register and located at Jansweg 42, 2011 KN Haarlem, the Netherlands.

The gift cards are issued under Dutch law, and the terms of use below are based on Dutch legislation. As a consumer, you benefit from all mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside. Nothing in these general terms and conditions, including the choice of law, affects your rights as a consumer to rely on such mandatory provisions of your local legislation.

2. Validity period

  • All gift cards are valid for 2 (two) years from the date of issue.

  • The date of issue and validity period are clearly stated on the gift card.

  • Gift cards cannot be used after their expiration date.

  • No extensions or refunds are possible for expired gift cards.

3. Purchase and Activation

  • Gift cards can be purchased online at www.pleinpublique.com and are activated immediately after purchase.

  • You will receive a purchase confirmation by email and the gift card will be sent by post to the address you provided.

  • The minimum purchase value is €10 per gift card and the maximum purchase value is €250 per gift card.

4. Using Your Gift Card

  • Gift cards can only be redeemed in the Plein Publique webshop at pleinpublique.com.

  • Multiple gift cards can be used in a single transaction.

  • Gift cards can be used for partial payments (in combination with other payment methods).

  • If the purchase amount is less than the balance on the gift card, the remaining balance will stay on the card for future use.

  • If the purchase amount is greater than the balance on the gift card, the difference must be paid using another payment method.

  • Gift cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards.

  • No fees are charged for purchasing, sending, or using the gift card.

  • No inactivity or maintenance fees apply.

  • Replacement costs may apply (see Article 7).

7. Lost or stolen cards

  • Gift cards are treated as cash, and we are not responsible for lost or stolen cards.

  • If your gift card has been stolen, we can block the card and may issue a replacement card for the remaining unused balance at that time.

  • We may charge replacement fees.

8. Refunds and Returns

For gift card purchases:

  • 14-day right of withdrawal: If you purchase a gift card online, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to withdraw from the purchase and receive a full refund, in accordance with standard consumer law.

  • This right of withdrawal expires once the gift card has been used (even if only partially).

  • To exercise your right of withdrawal for a gift card, please contact us at connect@pleinpublique.com. 

For Purchases Made with Gift Cards:

  • Products purchased using gift cards are subject to our standard return policy.

  • Refunds for returned products will be credited back to the original gift card (if it has not expired) or issued as store credit.

10. Non-Transferability and Restrictions

  • Gift cards are not registered to a specific name and may be used by anyone in possession of the card.

  • Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Gift cards may not be resold or used for commercial purposes.

  • We reserve the right to refuse transactions that appear fraudulent or that violate these terms and conditions.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions

  • We reserve the right to amend these general terms and conditions at any time.

  • Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.

  • Continued use of gift cards after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

  • Changes do not apply to gift cards purchased before the effective date of the changes.

12. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

  • Any disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the court of Haarlem.
